Our Mission
The Lexington Kentucky local chapter of the Association of Pediatric Nurses (APHON) is dedicated to providing education, training, and community for Central Kentucky Pediatric Hematology Oncology Nurses. Our mission is to support local healthcare professionals in their efforts to provide the best possible care for pediatric patients and their families.
Melissa Horn, RN CPHON, Secretary
Melissa Horn is a registered nurse with many years of experience in pediatric oncology. She worked as a nurse at Kentucky Children's Hospital for many years before transitioning to Patient Care Navigator for Leukemia patients receiving treatment at the DanceBlue Clinic. Melissa is dedicated to providing compassionate care to her patients and their families and is the Secretary for the Lexington APHON chapter.

Dianna Holtzhauer is a Nurse Practitioner with over 25 years of experience in pediatric oncology. In the DanceBlue Pediatric Hematology Clinic, she acts as the Nurse Practitioner for the AYA Program, Oncofertility as well as Pediatric Oncology patients receiving care at the clinic. Dianna is dedicated to providing the very best comprehensive care to her patients and their families and she is the President of the Lexington APHON chapter.
Emily Padgett is a registered nurse with a career focused on pediatric hematology and oncology. She is active in the National APHON organization, serving on the Advocacy Committee. She is currently the inpatient Patient Care Navigator for the DanceBlue Clinic. Emily is passionate about patient education and strives to empower families to be active participants in their child's care and she is the Treasurer for the Lexington APHON chapter.
